Davelozzi and others asking about Imaskari, Your info about the ancient empire is correct. The cliffnote version of what is in Underdark is that when they got their rears handed them, they fled the surface, found a massive huge underground chamber and sealed it off with magics so powerful that it includes a suggestion spell that makes most people who even think about the Imaskari think that they were destroyed. They lived through several upheavels of power in thier own ranks, including invasion from some of the Inner Planes. The sealed themselves off from even the inner planes then (they had portals to the inner planes before) and have been fairly peaceful for the past 600 years. Then one of em got the bright idea that it was time to see what the rest of the realms had made of themselves in the past fifteen centuries. Much debating went on and finally they cracked the seal and have start to send individual scouts and spies out into the Underdark. So paranoid are they that they exercise the location of Deep Imaskar from the Imaskari spies and scouts brains! Brutal. So anyways, they use spells and magics for almost everything. They GROW water on plants. The water beads up shaped like a fruit that can be plucked, and until poked with something sharp, maintains it shape, then when poked, it bursts into just pure water. Nifty. They are a very weak race though, most of their fighting skills have devolved into ritual dance moves. Expect them to be a push over in melee and damn potent with spells.
