Did white wolf lose the lawsuit? I kinda hope they won since the first one had that V:tm feel of Vampires *&^%ing over each other in one big conga line.

Did you actually see the idiocy that WW put down in the suit? If they had just stuck with the whole "the plot for this movie was based on a short story that we now own" bit, they would have done great.

Instead, they put such incredible gems as:

"In Underworld, werewolves are harmed by silver. In the World of Darkness, werewolves are harmed by silver."

*shudder* 116 complaints in that document, and only 16 of them something other than "yeah, we know that's common folklore, but we invented it!"

I'm no lawyer, but if they win/won the case, can they use this case as a sort of "prior ruling" to denote that such things are WW IP?
