"Kill her and take her finger!" Some years ago, a powergamer in our group was playing a paladin out of Unearthed Arcana (strict code, guarenteed 18's). An old lady had information we needed, but wanted like 5,000 gp for it. The paladin shouted that out, with the understood logic that you only needed a body part for speak with dead. It's now used whenever an NPC is being stingy with the info, and always said in the player's grunty, nasaly voice. Demiurge, that paladin was also named Bowen... "Detect Magic one half" A player liked to try and do everything, whether or not he had the ability. He wanted to cast detect magic on a ring, and the DM laughed and said "what, you're gonna use detect magic one half? Put it on and jump around, punch yourself?" etc. That player and event also spawned "find traps one half" where the meat shield opens all the doors, walks on obvious pressure plates, etc. Often used when there're no rogues or detect magic casters. "Plus Plusses" A player with a mangled character sheet always rolled to hit, then added his bonuses out loud. Once he realized in mid-math that he was going to miss... "14 plus 2 for Strength + 1 for elf + 3 for double specialization + magic sword + plusses. I hit!" Whenever the DM asks if we hit, we'll respond "...um, plus plusses... hit!" "Sohei Ninja Paladin Thri-kreen Headless Horseman Wu Jen..." It's used to belittle players that make a character with more than two classes, especially from non-core books. The thri-kreen bit was tacked on when a player of mine played Dark Sun once and then always wanted to play a thri-kreen, no matter the setting, though we never let him. For like two years, he was obsessed.
