Hi. I realise i've already posted a similar topic, but i could really do with a hand picking two final feats for my character as i'm a bit stumped and amrapidly running out of time (will be playing tomorrow). The character will be a wixard 5/warweaver 2 (with xp halfway to 8th lvl). What i have currently: I'm trying to go for a fairly versatile mage that can cover gaps with a large selection of scrolls. I am trying to pick a couple of feats from the following list, but not having seen a mi-level wizard in play before i don't know which ones look good on paper and which work well in game. Arcane disciple? Lets you add a domain's spells to your list (but using wis to decide max level etc). Would go healing, so with war weaver abilities could heal people rapidly for very few spells cast. Only thing putting me off is drain on precious spell slots/gold for scribing scrolls, and the presence of a radiant servant of pelor in party. There is another feat who's name i cant remember that would allow me to spontaneously cast these spells in place of memorized spells, but that's a lot of feats to do a clerics job for him isnt it? Point blank/precise shot Would help me hit a bit more often with ray spells (of which i have a fair few), but not a particularly sexy choice. Empower spell Fairly self explanatory, but i'm not sure how efficient it is until i've got a higher caster level. Also the spontaneous version from complete arcane, but that's only once a day. Elemental substitution Lets me change energy type of spells, and opens me up to some interesting metamagic later, but already getting a fairly large selection of spells to choose from. Aim for archmage Take two spell focuses and skill focus(spellcraft) for a range of interesting spell abilities later on. Reserve feat Probably the acid splatter or flame one, but one has very short range until high levels (at which point low level spells can be used for blasty filler between casting uber spells) and the other one allows saves and is stuck at 30 ft range. Craft wondrous items The dm is willing to give us plenty of downtime between adventures (within reason), and would solve the problem of not being able to find a particular item. The arrival of the magic item compendium will mean that we'll never be short of items i could create. It will compete with my scribing of scrolls for time and xp however. Improved init. Functional and active all the time, would allow me the option to act before the rest of the party charges in/charges out of the range of buffing, but again not sexy. Already have +4 init, so + 8 with this feat. I think they're all the ones im currently looking at. Which two do people think would be most beneficial for a lvl 6 caster who will be playing up to about lvl 20. If i've made any glaring mistakes in other areas, please let me know, but its the 2 feats that i need urgent help on. Also if there are any feats that you think would suite please let me know. Many thanks. The books i have/can use are core 3, phb2, complete: adv, arc, div, mage, scoun, war, races of wild, spell compendium and magic item compendium
