Using spycraft chase rules for d&d mounted combat

Has anyone looked into, or used the spycraft chase rules for combat on mounts in a d&d adventure.

I have been thinking of doing something like this for awhile, but never got around to it. Some of the combat maneuvers would have to be adjusted or removed since they wouldn't work with a mount, but it would seem that a lot of the stuff could be used rather easily.

My next question is, has anyone played with making different stats for mounts, based on purebreed, different regions, etc. My thought being, use something like that to simulate different cars with different handling abilities, speed, hp, etc.

Let me know
