OK..."Every dog has its day."
"Even a blind squirrel finds the occasional nut."
Regardless of the aphorism used, that movie was an aberration. A perfect storm. The problem is, Uwe's ego prevents him from recognizing that.
Some years ago, I was playing volleyball regularly. I got some good tutelage- some of the guys I played against were Olympic hopefuls, willing to teach- and I developed a killer serve. One night, I was at a beach volleyball bar, and a twoesome needed a third to play, and I volunteered.
I played my best that night: my serves were going for aces, I was digging out spikes all over the place, and my sets were being buried by teammates. We held that court for close to an hour of play, until we surrendered it to go get drinks. As it was, they had been playing together for years, and were looking for a third person to play with in tournaments since their long time partner moved out of state. I was the best they'd played with in months.
But I realized that I had NEVER played as well as I had that night. I told them this, and declined the invite. Good thing, too. While I remained a big fish in my small pond, I never again played as well as I had that night. I caught lightning in a bottle.
Uwe? Uwe doesn't recognize the limits of his..."talents".
