I hadn't heard that this was being made into a movie. It's of of my favorite graphic novels, so I'm pretty psyched. If done really well, this could be a great, even important film. I don't want to get into any political discussion, but if you are at all familiar with the GN, you can see some very clear parallels with our contemporary political climate. I hope the W. Bros. can do it justice.

Well, it's the Wachowski brother/sister—and those two looooove their comics—so expect a faithful translation from four-color to screen.

Am I correct in thinking this is an alternate history where the Nazi's won WWII and took over England or did I make that up and this is a generic fascist government .

Does this have a release date.

No. It's a close future where the UK has become a fascist state all on it's own.

It's written during the Thatcher years.

I heard that Alan Moore, the writer of the comic wants nothing to do with the movie.

It's not this movie per say, as much as it's film adaptations alltogether.

His co-creator, Dave Lloyd, seems all giddy over it, though.
