So, what are you doing with your significant other for Valentines day? Yep... I'm mining for ideas :). We've been so busy planning our May wedding that Valentines completely slipped my mind. Anyway... just curious what you guys are doing. The first year we were together I took her on a surprise picnic at the botanical gardens during the middle of a rainstorm. I had reserved their tea room which overlooks the gardens :). After the picnic, the rain had stopped and we walked the gardens, it was perfect. The year after that I surprised her with a trip to a nice bed and breakfast, where I had all kinds of little gifts hidden in the room before hand, very romantic and nice. Last year we were on a budget, since we've been saving up for the wedding, and we stayed at home. I did surprise her with a few nice things though. When she got home from work I had candles lit all over the house, put glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling, and cleared out the living room. I hit play on the stereo and we danced the night away to a few custom CD mixes I had made. For dinner, I had hidden away a crab caserole in the oven, thankfully, the smell from the candles hid the smell of cooking and she didn't know about it till she mentioned she was hungry, hehe. Anyway... time is running out and desperation is setting in, lol.
