He did misread my post. I have no problem looting in game I like getting goodies. I even played a rogue who would rather steal supplies then buy them, she was such an amoral little thief. I really enjoyed my assassian monk I played in Forgotten Realms I got a kick out of planning perfect murders. But in real life I am nothing like that. Real life violence makes me sick to my stomach I can not watch shows like CSI because they leave me feeling rather ill. I am a pacifist at heart I even opppose the death penalty for murderers. As for stealing in real life I won't even take supplies from my job when I worked and I have strict rules about downloading. The only thing I download is a TV show that I missed. I won't download music, movies or books. I know right from wrong and I have a pretty strong sense of personal ethics. I often play the hero in game and I enjoy that but there are times that I like to cut loose and just be bad. Personally I think you can read to much into what people choose to play. A lot of people may have some dark fantasies now and then but that does not mean that they really want to carry them out. I have been in therepy and one of the things that my therpist had me do was to take a padded stick and beat a pillow with it and pretend while I was doing it that it was someone who I was angry with. It really helped me release my anger because I tend to repress it and swallow it. But I understood that in no way was she encouraging me to use violence to solve my problems. I read an article on woman's top sexual fantasies and so called rape fantasies were popular, in the top ten. I can pretty much gurantee you that these woman who fantasy about it would never want it to happen in real life. So if a DM has slavery in his game and beautiful elves sold into harems I am not going to judge just on that , that he really wants to see woman kept in sexual bondage in real life.
