1) You should probably include Plants in the types of creatures that can't be drained of blood. 2) Keep the revised version of DR in mind as well, as you might want to revise your vamps when 3.5E comes out. 3) There's a lot of repeated text (such as the Energy Drain entry on each level of vampire) you might want to separate this text out, then list only the differences in each vampire level. 4) Shouldn't 1st level vampires gain the undead type? 5) Do the feats stack? Does a 9th level vampire gain all the feats of lower level vampires? How does "leveling up" work? A level 5 vamp has one Toughness, and a level six vamp has two. Does that mean that as a vamp goes from level 5 to level 6 it gains one toughness? 6) You have a level 2 vampire gaining the "Improved reflexes" feat, which does not exist. 7) How are vampires of the same level different? I think you should give each level of vampire skill points (2 + INT mod?) and a "class" skill list. I think vampires should also get 1 feat every three levels. Perhaps instead of granting the feats you should give vamps feat slots and create a vampire feat list with all those feats on it. Answer: 1: Yes they should, it is an oversight on my behalf. 2: Don't know how the DR will work for 3.5 E yet, havent seen or heard much about the alterations they made to the rules yet. 3: I had a choice, when I decided to make fifteen templates. I could either make some "general" description or repeat the same description for the different levels. They way I constructed the templates was with a complete post holding all the necessary information for making a vampire of that Vampiric Level. Don't know if was the right choice though... 4: Again, yes they should be undead, oversight again. 5: The feats do not stack. As you might notice, the vampire templates list the feats for the previous template level template as well as the new ones gained once it advances in age. 6: That should be Improved Initiative (I must have been drunk when I wrote it, confusing Improved Initiative together with Lightning Reflexes) 7: Hmmm, most of the Vampire's feats are given because it grows stronger and faster. Improved Initiative, Lightning Reflexes, Dodge, Run and Combat Reflexes are all part of the Vampires greater movement and speed. Toughness are part of the Vampires increased stamina. Iron Will is a part of the Vampires enhanced mental provess. The Flyby is a manifestation of the Vampires growing familiarity with being airborne, whereas both Claw Focus and Improved Critical manifest the growing power of the Vampires natural weapons. The skills are similar in that way too. They are meant to signify the animalistic nature of the Vampire, it's hunter instincts that keeps it aware of it's surroundings. Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked it.
