His father was in actual fact not suited to the role of father at all. His father was a teacher and his mother worked on occasion, sometimes getting jobs in pharmacies or old peoples' homes. He was the eldest of four children, often taking a father-like or mediator role because of his father's immatureness and lack of fathering ability.

What were some significant events of your young life?

Maxwell was very mature for his age, so mature in fact that in pre-school he earned the nickname of 'grandpa'. His matureness was a constant throughout his life, and he took after his mother in her good-nature. Nonetheless he found his mother's religiousness hard to grasp. He scrutinised the christian faith in depth, though this led him to believe that God certainly existed it also caused him some frustration in referance to some of His 'policies'. During early primary school he was very popular with the other girls his age, but he had very little idea of what he was doing, so when the two girls he liked the most demanded him to choose between them he was quite hurt because he didn't know what was happening. This caused him to shy away from others to a large degree. There wasn't much reason for Chemistry, only that he was good at it. During his studies of religion he came across many odd and arcane things, he was determined though and after accidently scratching the surface of vampire society he became curious and all the more careful. After finishing his degree he felt the need to get out of Sydney. His dabbling in the vampire world had caused ripples, so he fled to New York. He had ascertained from his enquiries that he could hang low there because of the lack of vampire presence. There he was able to continue his studies, but it was not long before he attracted the scrutiny of vampires once again.

Were you married in your mortal life? Were you in love?

He fell in love during his high school years. He fell for a girl in the same grade, Gina Yule, she was in a couple of his classes and though his friends thought she was somewhat bossy he found her to be pretty, intelligent, considerate and quite charming. He struggled with himself for over a year to try and get himself to talk to her, but his past made it impossible, and in the end she started going out with a friend of his, this tore him up inside even further, leaving his ability to express his feelings stomped on and discarded. He soon started getting very angry and hateful, not at anyone in particular, just angry and hateful. A little of this though was directed at God.

What drew your sire to you?

Max watched his steps in NY, he got a job at a nightclub so he could fund his now independant studies of religion, the arcane and the psycology involved. His sire, Morgan Thepclay, encoutered Max while having a conversation with him at the night club, she was bored and thought she'd talk to one of the people at the bar. Normally he would be friendly to customers but since this one showed interest in him and had a startling resemblance to Gina he decided he might as well get himself a friend in this big city. Their conversation continued after Max finished work, with things like religion, time travel and other topics of deep thought. They continued to meet for about a month whenever Max got off work, they would talk and walk about until about three or four in the morning. Max was too charmed by Morgan to realise she was a vampire, or deep down he realised she was but couldn't break away from her. Morgan liked the mortal, he showed potential, he was intelligent, had strong opinions and some leadership qualities, he also possessed a deep and undirected hatred, that she could use.

Were you a ghoul before you were a vampire?

No.

What was your embrace like?

Max's embrace was more of an erotic one than anything else. After about a month of their night-time walks he had grown quite fond of Morgan, so when she asked him up to her apartment he was very happy. Nonetheless in the heat of things he didn't realise he was a vampire until well afterwards. When he did find out he wasn't that surprised, he added one and one in his head and it all made sense. He was disappointed in his own gullability though that wasn't much of an obstacle for him when he realised his new potential.

What were some significant events of your early days as Kindred?

Max never actually severed contact with his family and friends because they were so far away. He assumed they would never need to know about him being undead, but he was concerned of what his mother would think especially with her strong religiousness. His first feeding was a scary ordeal, he refused to drink blood so eventually he went into a blood frenzy and killed a homeless person. Another ordeal for him was how quickly he would become angry, he was very controlled throughout his life but being a Brujah made it hard for him to control himself. Therefore because of his dislike of being easily angered he was often grumpy.

How do you view the others around you?

Morgan used his anger and directed it against the Sabbat, though Max wasn't a big fan of God he felt they had a common enemy, so when Morgan presented him with a group of devil-worshipping vampires who wish to turn mortals into cattle he wasn't quite impressed. He set his sights on sniffing out groups of Sabbat and exterminating them, for the betterment of both Camarilla and mortals. Seeing as he was taught that the Sabbat are the enemy of all that is good in any way, shape or form, he portrayed most Camarilla in a good light. He thinks Brujah as a whole are too much of a rabble but he's tolerant because of the diversity which it contains. He values loyalty and trust to a very high extent, and so doesn't like Malkavians because of the erratic behaviour they are displayed to have. He pities, and therefore looks down upon, Caitiff, seeing them as something like orphans. Max doesn't like Gangrel either for their animalistic properties, not that he doesn't like animals, he just doesn't like the 'wild vampire' concept. Nosferatu he finds quite hard to look at but he respects their knowledge, he especially respects Caledros for his willingness to fill the position of Prince until a replacement is found. Otherwise he respects the other Camarilla clans, Tremere for their knowledge of magic, Ventrue for their honour and leadership, and Toreador for their good taste.

What are your long term goals?

Maxwell has four long term goals: a) Become a thorn in the side of the Sabbat, exterminate them from the face of existence where possible b) Gain a rank of power within NY

What are your short term goals?

Maxwell's short term goals are as follows: a) Assist Calebros in finding a worthy replacement b) Ascertain the degree of Sabbat presence which remains in NY c) Learn, specifically about vampires, seeking secrets where possible, there's plenty of time to learn during Ennui d) A collection of knowledge is nice but should the opportunity arise (he's not gonna actively search) he will bring artifacts and such into his possession, effectively relieving unworthy owners of delicate and meaningful goods e) Earn the respect and should it be required, and it definitely will, fear of other vampires.

What are you good at, and how do you use it to your advantage?

Max is quite knowledgable, he has good investigative skills and is definitely no stranger to a firearm. He takes enjoyment in assisting Morgan, who in turn is an assistant of Qadir al-Asmai.

Why are you where you are now?

He is in NY because that is where he was embraced and that is where his opportunities lie, he originally came there fleeing possible vampire persecution from his inquisitiveness he displayed in Sydney.

How do you view your existence now?

Maxwell sees himself as a violation of all that is holy and/or natural, though this he doesn't mind, he finds it a pleasant way to rebel against God. He tries to be a force for good, and though he is somewhat ashamed of having to drink blood he has vowed to himself never to kill a mortal through feeding, thus he feeds in small amounts quite often, usually nightly during his work at the night club.

Is there more?

Max is no longer romantically involved with Morgan much to his dismay, she became less interested in him after the war to reclaim New York so their relationship is now something like a strong friendship between work colleagues. Max wishes to lend a hand to Hellene Panhard as he sees her as a perfectly good replacement for Calebros. He lives (or unlives <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=";)" title="Wink ;)" data-smilie="2"data-shortname=";)" />) in the apartment across the hall from Caitlyn Tran, in there he keeps a collection of books, new and very old. He also has in his possession a kevlar vest and a Manhurin MR93 (6 shot, .357 mag revolver made in France), reminders of when he feared vampire retribution. He owns a car, a 90's model Mitsubishi Magna, which he loves to drive and enjoys playing his violin on occasion. He's able to afford the shockingly expensive rent because the building's owner is a ghoul under the control of Morgan, therefore its practically free, and he mainly uses his car for recreational purposes. During the relcamation of New York he played an intelligence role of sorts, though he never let that never keep away from the fighting.

Stat Block:

Exp-

Total: 15

Used: 15

Clan- Brujah

Demeanor- Martyr

Nature- Conformist

Attributes:

Strength 2

Dexterity 3

Stamina 2

Charisma 3

Manipulation 3

Appearance 2

Perception 3

Intelligence 4

Wits 3

Abilities:

Alertness- 1

Athletics- 0

Brawl- 0

Dodge- 1

Empathy- 1

Expression- 0

Intimidation- 0

Leadership- 1

Streetwise- 0

Subterfuge- 1

Animal Ken- 1

Crafts- 0

Drive- 1

Etiquette- 1

Firearms- 3

Melee- 0

Performance- 1 (violin)

Security- 0

Stealth- 1

Survival- 1

Academics- 2 (psychology)

Computer- 1

Finance- 0

Investigation- 2

Law- 1

Linguistics- 1 (ancient languages)

Medicine- 0

Occult- 3

Politics- 1

Science- 2 (chemistry)

Virtues:

Conscience- 4

Self-Control- 4

Humanity- 8

Courage- 2

Willpower- 4

Disciplines:

Celerity 2

Potence 2

Presence 2

Bloodpool: 12

Generation: 11th

Backgrounds:

Generation- 2

Mentor- 1

Resources- 1

Allies- 1

Freebie Points:

Eat Food- 3

Abilities- 2

Attributes- 5

Disciplines- 5
Maxwell Freigart I've changed a couple of things here, general improvements: Where and when were you born and raised? Maxwell Freigart was born on 26/12/1979 in Sydney, Australia. He was raised in a middle-class home. What were your parents and family like? His mother, Andrea, was a strong non-denomitional christian while his father, Steven, wasn't really religious at all. Shortly before his teens he also gained what some would call an unhealthy interest in firearms. What happened when you became a young adult? As a young adult he earned an Honours degree in Psycology with Chemistry as a second major. Maxwell has four long term goals: a) Become a thorn in the side of the Sabbat, exterminate them from the face of existence where possible b) Gain a rank of power within NY What are your short term goals?
