Is there symbol a stylized 'eye'?

I got to admit, at first I was a little bit creeped out. Mostly because I can't imagine any nerd would found such a company without knowing the reference.

However, it turns out to be a nerd convergence.

"The founders derived the name 'Vecna' from the Czech word věčný, fem. věčná, meaning 'eternal' implying that the company and its products are built to last."

No doubt Gygax's Vecna has the same etymology.
No, "Vecna" the lich is from Gary's play on Jack Vance's name. Kind of an homage to the guy he stole the magic system from. :)

The funny part is how the stylized "V" doesn't just look like an eyeball, but could be interpreted as a sideways HAND cradling an eyeball... :o

I brought this company up a few years back, when they were selling this creepy military assistance Care-Bear faced robot that supposedly was used for getting wounded soldiers off a battlefield...

So we have the Eye of Vecna, the Hand of Vecna, and.... The BEAR of VECNA?

Right, I remember that now. The robot that "carries wounded soldiers off to the infirmary". More like "delivers raw materials to Vecna for his necromantic experiments".

Reminds me of those corpse carrier golems from Eberron that stuck bodies on their spikes to return them to the Karnathi necromancers.

Funny thing is, as much as we're joking about 'em, I half expect Russ to get a Cease & Desist letter from 'em. ;)

OTOH, what's that phrase about any press being good press?

...and what if the czech meant "Vecna-y"? Scary...

When I saw the title of this thread, I immediately thought of Cyberpunk Vecna: He's got a silver eye, a long chrome coat, one cyborg hand, and is smoking a cigar.

Ok, now I want to play in a Shadowrun Immortals-style campaign featuring Vecna, Dragotha, Iggwilv, Iuz, and others.
