He created a new class of magic items, along with many unique artifacts and spells. He also rules a city of undead. Best of all, every time gods and heroes try to come down on him for the actions of his creations he tells them all off because all he did was give his creations free will.Vecna couldn't even control his own vampire stooge, who's artifact sword is arguably more powerful than Vecna's hand and eye (though to be fair Vecna did create it). He was destroyed on multiple occasions, and bested by adventurer's even after becoming a greater god. His cult seems to be his only real source of power, as he has so many powerful enemies who openly oppose him that he can't sneeze without catching a beatdown. Bottom line, being a god is not all it is cracked up to be, and even a god who hails from from Greyhawk pales in comparison to a Netherese Lichking.</blockquote>
