Kaelestis, hearing the scuffle, dashes right behind Voadam. As he runs, he deftly pulls out his bow and readies an arrow. When he skids to a stop in front of the alley, he lifts his bow and alternatively points it at both of the brigand's heads. Straining the arrow as far back as it can go, he is clearly ready to take a shot. Kael speaks loudly and quickly. "Up, bup bup! Not today, fellas! Both of you, against the wall, and put your hands where I can see them! If you enjoy thinking with those lovely painted heads of yours, I'd suggest that you do it." Gritting his teeth, he hopes that they comply. [sblock=OOC]Naturally, I'm dashing to the alley. Paladin can't pass up an opportunity like this! I'd like to avoid shooting them, if possible, so here's my actions, followed by my plan. MOVE ACTION - Move to mouth of alley, but just so I have line of sight. I'm on higher ground, giving that lovely +1 to attack rolls. Draw weapon as I do so. STANDARD ACTION - Ready action to fire bow if one of the thugs dashes towards me or any of my friends. If they try to run, then I won't take my readied action (unless you say that it's OK for me to specify that if they run, I take a NONLETHAL shot at whichever one is closest), and I'll prepare to give chase next round. NEXT ROUND - Like I said, if they run, then I pursue them, with whatever measure is necessary to catch up to them. I assume that they might just all-out run, in which case I'll do the same. I'll cover actions taken after that when the time comes. If they comply, however, then I keep them at bowpoint and cast detect evil and hold my readied action (shoot if they run towards me or my teammates). Something tells me that they're gonna run, though.[/sblock]
