Strangely, I have complained about the WotC website design on several message boards over the past few years, including this one. I generally got flamed to hell if anyone commented at all. The website is a KEY piece of marketing for their new online initiative as well as for the new edition itself. I am sorry, but the website is a pale, sad imitation of what it should be, particularly as a key marketing tool. People have said that the video critique is overly picky when referring to different shading and the line up of some of the boxes. Well-designed websites DO focus on these little details because they can be distracting to the eye and make a website difficult to navigate. Proper font usage and menu/table design is also extremely important in web design. Does the website have a huge amount of information on it? Yes! The question is, is that information easy to find? My answer is NO. The website is WotC's tool to attract customers to the online initiative and it is failing miserably. I am an avid buyer of RPGs and RPG material and *I* have no interest in the subscription. A number of people I know that also spend TONS of money on RPGs don't intend to subscribe either. This is NOT a good sign. As far as I am concerned, if WotC can't maintain a good, FAST, easily navigated website, then I can't trust them to deliver online content in a fast, easy-to-use manner. Will I be buying 4e? Hell yeah. Will I be buying into their online toolbox and online initiative? Not for a long while after it is out, if at all. Patrick
