He covets magic. And will lie, cheat, steal, kill, maim, etc to get it. Blackjack is desperate for magic weapons right now. He will scope out adventurers, use his Charisma to get them talking about their adventures in hopes of hearing about magic longswords, or longbows. If he isn’t able to get the PC’s to talk, he isn’t above paying a winsome wench (one he’s worked with before) to pump the information out of a character. </p><p> Later, Blackjack will sneak into the PC fighter’s room, and make off with the weapon. Even if it’s not one he is willing to use, there is a great black market for magic weapons. Blackjack just isn’t willing to pay those kinds of prices, when he can just take one for free! Of course he is also on the lookout for magic bracers, magic leather, and gems and jewelry. If he can get a PC to talk, he will rise to the opportunity.</p><p> Blackjack is no fool, however. In any robbery, he will flee at the first sign of resistance. He will have carefully placed wagons of hay under windows, or under roofs, and a compatriot paid to ride off when he hits. He will know of several safe houses in any area. Always have a getaway plan!</p></blockquote><p></p>
