David Simpson who is the catoonist who creates Ozy and Millie has also had problems...:
Yipes! I recieved it 8 times, and blew up at the first one, sending a nasty gram to the unfortunate who's email address had been spoofed.
I have been having a bad time with viruses this week. When I went camping this weekend I loaned a friend my computer. When I came back I found several pirated programs on it (I keep my computer legal), and 3 viruses, one of which wiped my documents folder. He had apparently collected a list of pirate sites, and when one of them told him to turn off any virus protection he did! (Idiot.) He also had pirated about a hundred cds. (And this was on a dial up connection! When the heck did the moron sleep?)
Needless to say this is the last time I loan anybody my computer.
I also hhad a version of Spybot, which I apparent contracted by visiting a porn/spam site to tell them 'stop sending me spam!' So yes you can get viruses without downloading them, if the html code for a website loads the virus in. It took quite some time to track it down, and I had to change the settings on a read only folder. My anti virus could find it when it engaged, but not when I ran the scan. I had to change the read only setting for the antivirus to even find the sucker.

So the W32.Sobig.F@mm virus is passing itself around by hijacking people's e-mail addresses. Do you want to know how many times I've gotten it, in the past 24 hours? Over 400. Yes, that's right. And it would be more if my inbox didn't keep filling up with the messages. If I ever meet the person who wrote this thing, I'm going to kill him with a piece of mint-flavored dental floss.
