He wears his reddish blond hair long and in a single braid. He has prominent, expressive and bushy eyebrows. His beard is divided into three braids, each ending in a large, unique stone bead (jade, hematite & red garnet). He tends to fidget with the beads when he talks. His voice is almost always quite. He considers overly loud people to be rude.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Personal History:</p><p></p><p> Vocan Stonecleaver was born and raised in the Stormhorn Mountains in Northern Cormyr. From an early age he felt that the life within the Dwarven City was too rigid and structured. His parents and two older siblings could never understand why he didn’t love the mountain as they did. The only thing that made his home life bearable was his enduring love of stone. The look of it, the feel, smell, what it could do and what it couldn’t. And pushing the later as far as possible. He made sure that he apprenticed to the best stonecarver in his home settlement. He also made sure that he kept up with his military training. He knew that the mountain wasn’t his true home and that a sharp axe would keep him alive out in the surface world. </p><p></p><p> As soon as he finished his apprenticeship as a carver he bid his family farewell and headed out, up and into the world. He soon found that his military training was of more immediate use than his carving skills. He also found that he took great pleasure in thwarting evil in all of its guises. The direct and up front approach is his preferred method. Vocan sought out like-minded people to tackle the evil in the world. Which is when he made is next major discovery; he very much likes the company of non-Dwarves. In fact he came to realize he is more attracted to Gnomish women than Dwarven ones. The last of his great personal revelations came when he entered his first multi-racial city. It was love at first sight. The vibrancy, life and energy of the cosmopolitan world were everything that his Dwarven home wasn’t. He knew that he had found his true home.</p><p></p><p> Vocan’s longer-term goals are to buy a plot of land in a city, build a large stone home and carve every single square inch of it with art. A living work of art that he can dedicate his life too. He also wants to court a Gnomish woman and take her as his wife. He knows that they won’t be able to have children of their own. But they can adopt and he is not really concerned with the race of the children. Just so long as they need a home and that he can provide a secure one.</p></blockquote><p></p>
