Since we are a small company, we are looking for some volunteer help (we call them TableSTARS) at our booth in GenCon. Our games come in two parts, a modular card game mechanic (the HeroCard system), and the board games that go with it (the HeroCard games). The card game mechanic is the same for all the board games, whereas each board game has a different theme and set of rules that modify how the card game works. TableSTARS will be teaching the card game part to convention attendees. If you’ve played any kind of CCG, you’ll pick it up quickly (even though it is not a CCG). The rules are downloadable from our website (<a href="http://www.tablestargames.com" target="_blank">www.tablestargames.com</a>) and we intend to have a two-hour training session before the convention. After teaching the card game (about 5 to 10 minutes), you’ll show convention attendees to the staff, who will be doing prize giveaways and mini-tournaments with the board game. We are asking for 3 6-hour pre-set shifts, but lunch or dinner is provided per shift. Also, we will reimburse you your convention pass at the end of the convention. The shift schedule is as follows: Thursday, Aug 16th Shift 1 (9:30am-3:30pm) Shift 2 (12:30pm-6:30pm) Friday Aug 17th Shift 3 (9:30am-3:30pm) Shift 4 (12:30pm-6:30pm) Saturday Aug 18th Shift 5 (9:30am-3:30pm) Shift 6 (12:30pm-6:30pm) Sunday Aug 19th Shift 7 (9:30am-3:30pm) In addition, you’ll gain 100 STARS Points for every hour you work at the convention. There is a reward breakdown at 3000, 5000, and 10000 STARS Points that you redeem for fabulous prizes!
