1st level use your 2 feats to buy Sacred Vow and Vow of Poverty, the abilities aren't retroactive so you lose out if you don't start off with it. Take Stunning Fist as your Monk bonus feat, there are exaulted feats that use it. As mentioned take ranks of survival also ranks of Heal, Knowledge Nature, and Knowledge Dungeoneering. Herbalism would be nice too. 2nd level you get an Exaulted bonus feat, take Intuitive Attack, as wisdom should be your highest stat this will increase your hit ratio considerably. As for your monk bonus feat, either/or both are useful, depends on the game. Combat Reflexes if your seeing a lot of close quarters, Deflect Arrows if you want to avoid being pin-cusioned. I've always found Deflect Arrows more useful in the long run. 3rd level, your second character feat, dodge, combat expertise, or weapon focus unarmed (especially useful for Flurry of Blows) are all good choices, depends on where you want to end up. Dodge will eventually get you to spring attack, Combat expertise will make your already high AC insane, but weapon focus gives yet anouther +1 to attack, remember monks do damage by large number of hits not by single power blows. 4th level, Ki strike+Exaulted strike, you gain a slight advantage over the non-VoP monk in the Exaulted strike gives a +1 bonus to hit and damage as well. There's also an Exaulted feat waiting for you, I'd suggest Nimbus of Light but merely as a prereq for holy radiance, or Touch of Golden Ice (which by the way does work on demons that are immune to poisons). All you have to do is survive one level to get sustaining so you no longer need to eat or drink
