In 2015 I started using Roll20 and got the band back together, switching to Foundry VTT in 2021. I also joined another group as a player and that group got together in Vegas in 2023 for a weekend face-to-face game. It was fun and hit the nostalgia feels, but I was shocked at how it was harder to track everything and do lengthy addition in my head like I used to. VTTs had spoiled me by handling all the math and fiddly bits. I guess aging has taken its toll, as well. Online play is so much easier (and I can't complain about the commute!), but the socializing is a big part of what got me into gaming.</p></blockquote><p></p>
