Cepheus pulls off a shot and may have missed, except for the speed in which the gnome launched the attack. The bolt buries itself in the rogue's shoulder blade. He drops his sword, looks at the wound, and runs (took 7 points of damage). The rest of the group waits, as the boy Hukk streaks by. He seems to be maybe eleven years old or so, and streaks by Solange and the rest of the group behind her. He bursts into the open street, and promptly trips on a cobblestone, landing face first on the road. The rogues prepare themselves, and close in. The first rogue adeptly dodges Solange's attack, and makes an attack of his own with the simple short sword that he wields. The attack is easily knocked aside by Solange's stave. The other rogue quickly bypasses Solange, and approaches Pendrake. The northerner's assault with the sword is fast, but ultimately ineffective. However, Pendrake is able to fight offensively, pushing the rather surprised rogue back. In fact, his assault is so skilled, that all attempts the rogue makes to strike meet nothing but air. The final man, who had been holding Hukk only a moment before, curses loudly at the retreating rogue. "I'll skin you alive, Horace, you can bet on it!" he shouts, before fixing his milky eye upon Solange. "That was a mistake, woman." He curses, before rushing into the fight. As he runs, he brings out a terrible makeshift club that's been studded with nails and covered in tar, with pieces of glass meshed in. With both hands, he brings the club down on Solange's head. The attack connects, and hard. Solange falls to the ground, apparently lifeless. (OOC: I think Solange is at -3? She took 12 points of damage). The man lets out a triumphant shout, and holds his club high in the air. [i] (OOC: Could you please label your attack rolls when you use IC, Corwyn?
