Hello fellers,

I have been working on an idea for a pulp style D20 game and was wondering if anyone was interested in helping. I think that Forbidden Kingdoms is lacking for some intangible reason that no one seems to be able to put their finger on.

What I am visualizing is a sourcebook like Spycraft, presents a toolkit to simulate a specific genre of fiction, in this case the pulps. I see the classes as being Adventurer (variant rogue), Scientist (variant expert), Psychic (variant psion), PI (another variant expert) etc. these being just examples.

How I visualize the book (for pdf sales) is the first chapter is an introduction to pulp and explains the different sort of Pulp fiction, from over the top Flash GOrdon or Buck Roger sci fi to Hard Boiled Sam Spade crime fiction. The second chapter would be on Classes and Prestige classes. Third chapter would be feats, skills etc for pulp characters etc on and on. Also presented is a sample setting for the GM to begin characters in and a world building chapter so that GM's can get an idea of how to build their own world using the pulp conventions.
