Waiting for the Leathbounds before I get my feet wet

I decided back in April that I was going to skip the hardback 4E books and wait for the leatherbacks.

I've got my pre-order in on 'em at Amazon. Great deal too. With the Super Save Discount and Their Preorder guarantee, it comes out to $134.58. Compared to the retail price of the Core Rulebook gift set its only about $35 more, but it'll be worth it for me. I intend to get a lot of use out of these books.

I recommend at least taking a look before laying out all that cash. Maybe a friend has a copy you can take a look through, or you could take a look in a bookstore?

Better still would be playing a few sample games to get a feel for the new system.

The reason I'm saying this is that 4e is decidedly not for everyone, and may not be for you. (If it is, then great. But surely it would be better to know for sure before spending in excess of $100?)

And will the old leatherbound have hte errata? That's the huge question. And will all the errata be caught? Wasn't for the 3.5 books, especially the Monster Manual.

Will there be leatherbound editions of each annual set of core books?
