[QUOTE="evildmguy, post: 5336237, member: 6092"] I know that at one game day, there was a group that all had their Pathfinder books out and were going to play it. They seemed to be a group that played at Mayhem but I don't know how often. I have talked to some of the guys from there and they know some groups that are playing 3.x or went to pathfinder. So, yes, there are some groups like that there but I don't know them personally and I did switch to 4E. It's funny because I am wondering if I *had* something like that but moved away from it. What I mean is that I used to immerse myself in the game and while I didn't try and run every merchant when all they wanted was a cloak (called "buying the cloak" by us because one game I did do that and then we didn't get much else done!) but run those merchants where they are looking for information as well. I got some new players and people who weren't comfortable with that, so they would describe what they wanted their character to do and then roll for it. Okay, that's fun. But what hit me was that we "lost" something in doing that. It wasn't as immersive as it was when we role played things out. So, I am trying to get back to some of that. Certainly, it's a fine line for any group on how much of it they want but I think my group went too far away from role playing and am trying to get them to come back to it. I will see how it works.
