War Mage Custom Class is this class balanced enough.

I have designed a custom class for my world and I am looking for help to balance this out.
thanks every one.


Warmage Class

Notes: The War-mage is not allowed to specialize in any schools of magic or ever gain weapon
specialzation. They also do not have access to item craetion feats.

Abilities: Intelligence is very important for War-Mages to determine how powerful a spell they can
cast. While high Dexerity is helpful for the War-Mage that wears little or light armor. The strength
ability is also good or desired to cause damage and melee attacks.

Alignment:Any

Class Skills:
Climb(Str),Conceration(Con),Craft(Int),Knowledge(Arcana,tatics,stragey)(Int),Ride(Dex),Scry(Int),
SpellCraft(Int).

Skill Points:at 1st level 2+int modifer x 4. Each Addintional 2+Int modifer.

Class Features:

Weapon and Armor Proficieny:

War Mages are proficient with all simple weapons and short swords, battleaxe,
longsword, rapier, scimitar and warhammers. They are also proficient with light armors but not shields or
any medium aor heavy armors. The penalties incured will see many war-mages upon the field in stripped to
the waist as fight in there blazing power.

Spells:

War-Mages cast arcane spells. They are limited to certain number of spells of each level per day according
to their class level. They must prepare spells ahead of time by getting a good night's sleep and spending
one hour studying their spell book. To cast spells the War-Mage must have a intelligence score of at least
10+ the speels level. The DC is 10+ the spells level plus the War-Mages Int.


Bonus Feats:

At the 5th,and every fifth level there after the War-mage gains a bouns feat, They can be any metamagic
feat,Spell Mastery, Dodge, Combat Reflexes, Improved Critcal, Improved Initative,Quick Draw, Weapon
Finesse, or Weapon Focus.

Known Spells They start with 7 0 level spells and 2 1 st level spells and onemore 1st level spell
per point of intellgence. Every time they gain a level they gain two new spells of any level they
can cast.

Dunno. Perhaps u should see the "spellsword" or even the "bladesinger", the two PrC in Tome and Blood...
They're not so rigid as your class, even if they're PrC...

There is no other class that is forbidden to take feats if they met the pre-reqs in 3e. I goes against the grain of how the game is setup.

Like the other poster said perhaps you should take a look at the Spellsword or the Erratumed version of the Bladesinger......or maybe, just maybe play a fighter/mage?
