Warden Essentials

I think it gives a better idea on how to work Wardens into the game, along with some useful advice about playing them.

Warden's Lunge seems to be a good option for Warden's with reach weapons. And I really like Form of the Lightning Lord. I think those powers along with others give a mobility-focused Wildblood some more options.

The article also offers a tidbit of how Wardens came to be:

The first "wardens" were peasants that tried to protect the forests, until enlisted as soldiers in the armies of Nerath. Given glaives and other polearms as weapons (which required less training than swords), they eventually returned to their homes with those weapons in hand, and used their training to defend their green homes.

Woah, those are some badass peasants.

No wonder level 1 Kobolds have over 20 HP.

Warden is the class I've played the most in the rare stints I get on the non-DM side of the screen. It has lived up to everything I saw in it on the page, now I have this article's content to look forward to when I level. >-)

It also mitigates the "charged and can't use a minor action now" problem, or the "moved, attacked, use a utility, have no minor action left" problem.

I liked that the article called out the issue with enemies that shift away and attack your allies. I've seen a lot of people misunderstand that. Its a challenge of the class, a fair one I think, but one that people should know about going into a game.

Looks pretty good at a first glance.

Form of the Lightning Lord needs some errata, though. It needs a +6 to its attack roll since it isn't a weapon attack.
