jeesh. I have never played Warhammer RPG but if that is how it is run, it's not something I'd want to play. As for the Ranger ... sounds like a twat. I have played in a game where the ranger character took a dislike to the carefree, happy go lucky nature of my fighter. I guess he thought I wasn't serious enough for his liking. Every comment my character made, his character would roll his eyes and mutter under his breath. My character took this pretty lightly but it began to spill over into out-of-character comments and when he began to openly criticise my character decisions I decided it was time to ask him why he disliked my character so much and that I felt unsure whether this was a 'roleplaying character issue' or a personal dislike to how I played the game. I even went to the trouble of explaining to him why my character had such a light hearted attitude towards battle, death and hardship in general. He left the game shortly afterwards. He claimed due to timing conflicts, which may have been true. Either way, I know from personal experience that it's not enjoyable when some up and decides that their character doesn't like yours and lets you know about it every time you open your mouth. Personally, as a DM, cooperation amongst the PCs is one of the few things I actively impose on the players. I'm only interested in running cooperative team play based games. I don't care how they find the reasoning behind their cooperation but I consider it vital and necessary to run an enjoyable game.
