Warhammer Wounds and Infection

Okay, I recently moved to Texas and don't have a lot of my gaming books with me. Fortunately, I did bring my WFRPG (2e) book with me, because I've found a group of players willing to try it out.

UNFORTUNATELY, I only have the core book with me, as I mentioned. I remember there being rules for combat wounds getting infected, but they're not in the core book (that I can find, anyway).

Where are those rules? Can someone toss up a quick overview? I don't need all the nuts and bolts, but wounds MEANING something has always been one of my favorite bits of Warhammer...

Thanks!

Well, IIRC the Companion has rules for chirurgical infection.

Sadly this seems to be a spot where the ruleset was a little lacking. The fan made winds of chaos crit charts are much more flavorful and brutal, sometimes inflicting infections.

I have Warhammer 2e too, but didn't recall reading about rules on wound infections at least from combat. I'm at work at the moment so don't have the book in front of me, but I think if you check on the healing skills and what happens if you botch it, I think it discusses that the wounds become infected and cause more damage to the patient unless they succeed in a Toughness test.

Yes, roleplying in a grim world is kind of darkly humorous at times.
