D&D 5E Warlock lvl spells question

When playing a Warlock and having the Fiend as your patron, it gives you an expanded spell list that includes Burning Hands and Command. Do you get these added to your Warlock known spells at lvl 1 OR are they simply 2 more spells you can choose from in addition to the level 1 Warlock spells?

Pretty clear you just get to choose from an expanded list rather than knowing the spell on the list.
