I went with the fiend patron because it makes sense with his back story. His tribe was wiped out by giants, and his martial prowess as a barbarian was useless against the giants. As he layed there bleeding and close to death, he was visited in a vision by a being offering him the power to get revenge agsint his hated foes, the giants. He accepts the pact and returns to conciousness to the face of the human mystic... who he secretly think may be his parton keeping an eye on him.Long story short, he's rocking an AC 20 with shield, and has wings of his own for unlimited flight, so I can skip the flying items and the bracer of defense, but the invisibity, escape, and ranged defense ideas are all something I should look into.I'm probably going to end up battling a greater than normal amount of giants....</blockquote>
