Warmage + Metamagic Feat = Full round casting?

If a warmage talkes metamagic feats and applies them to a spell, does it take a full round to cast since he's a spontaneous caster? Do the "Sudden" metamagic feats from CompArc work the same way then?

Don't have the book in front of me, but I'm fairly sure the answers are "yes" and "no," in that order. He casts spontaneously, so he suffers the same increase in casting time. But the Sudden feats don't actually change the spell level, so I don't think they require any extra time. (I know that I've always ruled they don't, but I can't swear that the rules back me on that.)

Warlocks can not take metamagic feats as they do not cast spells. They can use Sudden Metamagic feats and apply them to their invocations however.

Crap, I meant warmage. I typed warmage in the title but warlock in the post. Edited my first post.

Also note that it's a full-round action, but not a 1-round casting time. So you don't get to move, but you finish it on your own turn (unlike a Summon Monster spell, for example).

Heh. That's funny, because I read "warmage," and answered accordingly. If I'd realized you said "warlock," I'd have answered just as Riga did. :)

AFAIK a warlock can take metamagic feats since they don't actually have any requirements. He just can't use them on invocations.

Correct--but he can use the Meta-Spell-like-Ability feats like Quicken Spell-like Ability
