It is the 24th Century. Mankind has split into three rival factions within the Solar System and conflict was inevitable across the planets as they fight for independence and resources. Now full scale warfare has descended upon humanity and the fate of billions hangs in the balance. In another universe, a powerful race known as the Shi plundered other races for technology and slaves, their intellect and science allowing them to dominate any who stood in their path. Their 'Rift' technology allowed them to travel through space at will to launch devastating attacks. So it was until they met the Quay. Though enslaved, the Quay rose up against the Shi and caused a cataclysmic event that forced their former masters to stretch their technology to the utmost limits. Ripping their homeworld through the fabric of the cosmos, they managed to establish orbit around a new star - humanity's own. A new planet now turns between what was once Mars and the asteroid belt but this dramatic shift caused a gigantic rent in the fabric of time and space to be created - the Mumon Rift. Unfortunately for the Shi, the Quay managed to follow them through the rift. Unfortunately for humanity, two new, very powerful races now compete for living space and resources. The entire Solar System stands poised for events that could shatter entire worlds. Whether you choose to ally yourself with the Earthers, the Gongens or the Mavericks, humanity is looking for a few good heroes. Are you ready to sign up? Mongoose Publishing is pleased to announce it is joining forces with Decipher Inc. this Summer to bring you the Wars roleplaying game, based on the background and setting of the hit card game. The Wars RPG, written by Lizard, is due for release in June this year and will be supported as only Mongoose know how! You can learn more about the fascinating story behind Wars here http://warstcg.fanhq.com/ and here http://warstcg.fanhq.com/Resources/PDF/WARS-introduction.pdf
