Message: <blockquote data-quote="RangerWickett" data-source="post: 529065" data-attributes="member: 63">Two quick notes, not related to Unbreakable.  These are intense spoilers for Signs, so if you haven't seen it, don't highlight the following text.  If you have seen it, though, highlight this text.Signs was a movie about religion, faith, and a trial of faith.  It was a movie about the end of the world, but not about an alien invasion.  I hold firm to my belief that the 'aliens' were supposed to represent demons, carrying off the unfaithful.  You'll notice that the TV says that the solution of how to defeat them was found in the holy land.  And we soon thereafter learn that water burns them.Now, some people have said this is stupid.  'Why would aliens try to take over a planet that's 70% acid to them?'  But that's not the point.  It's not just plain old water that burns them.It was water in the holy land, and water in the house of a holy man.  Holy water, burning demons and driving them off, protecting the faithful.Some of my friends laughed at the movie, and frankly pissed me off.  They wanted 'Independence Day' or 'Alien,' and they missed the whole point of the movie.  Well, that's the end of the spoilers.</blockquote>
