Toskar kept glancing back over his shoulder as they left the alley, as the image of the woman climbing the wall like a human spider disturbed him greatly. 'It may be nothing more than a parlor trick, but it still ain't natural.' As Ruphus began speaking of the kidnappings, a cold chill went down Toskar's spine and the dwarf turned away once more to glance over his shoulder. 'It seems that this place has a hard time holding onto those who would live here.' As he turned back to face the others while they walked, Toskar saw his empty stool in front of the bar as Ruphus asked the others could they escort him back to the church. Clearing his throat to get there attention, Toskar wanted to assist them in what way he could, even though he knew he could not go withthem to the temple. "Look, ye seem to be good enough people and all, and I wish I could go with ye to the temple, but my shift at the Tankard isn't over until the bar closes." Toskar pointed to the bar so the others could see where and what he was talking about. "I've been keeping the peace for them for almost two weeks, and I can tell you that these kidnappings ain't a new thing around here. People seem to be there one day and gone the next. No broken locks, no sign of a fight, nothing. Just up and gone. The local boys are trying to figure it out, but Cauldron is a big place and there are only so many guards to go around, if you know what I mean, but now with kids going missing, people are gonna get mighty antsy once the word spreads." Feeling self conscious for talking so much, Toskar looked back to the bar for a moment and sighed. "I better be gettin' back to the bar now, before the place erupts into a riot just to spite me. However, if you all want some dinner after you go talk to the Cudgels, come on by and tell them you are friends of Toskar's." Wishing them the best inside, Toskar felt that his boots were filled with lead as he walked back towards the bar. 'Its all for the better...no need to plug a boat that ain't leaking.'
