D&D 5E (2014) Way of the Elements, Elemental disciplines.

One of my player wants to make a way of the four elements monk. While reading from the PHB, I noticed that the WFE's spells were called ''disciplines'', the same as the new Mystic's manifestations. Do you think that the archetype would be better if switching the base elemental disciplines for the masteries of the elements disciplines?

I think so, I'm going to have that as an option if any of my players want to play an elemental monk.

That's an interesting idea. One of the wu jen disciplines has "Water Whip" as an option, just like the elemental monk.

That's why I think we will see the material created for the Wu-jen used as a Way of the 4 elements redux when the psionic expansion arrives.
