[Way OT] Any fellow LA Clippers Fans?

My Clippers season ticket book is now (sadly) empty, after 42 entertaining home games. They had a great season, and nearly made the playoffs. They remain the youngest team in the NBA, and things are looking good for next season (and hopefully they will finally get Marko Jaric from the Europe league next season). And who wouldn't like a team whose often-played bench point guard is shorter than me (Earl Boykins at 5'5"), and which routinely plays four guys born in the 80s!

I know there are few basketball fans out there on this board, so the odds of finding a fellow Clippers fan are pretty slim. But I figured it was worth asking. Anyone out there like these guys?

I'm more a Pacer than Clippers fan. But they have a very promising young team. Odam might be worth trading unless he gets his act together. the real question for your Clippers is 'Will Sterling get a clue and pay a little more money to keep this team together'. While the question for my Pacer's is 'When will Walsh get a clue and let Isaiah Thomas go.";)

I'm a long-time Clippers fan! It's so strange that with such a great team and such great improvement, we only ended up with a few more wins than last year??

Next year is shaping up even better since it looks like everybody's sticking around. With the addition of Jaric, 2 new first-rounders, a healthy Odom, a few more pounds of beef on Miles, Q & Corey Maggette approaching their prime, Elton settled in with the team, and the all-new improved Kandiman ---Bingo, I can't wait for next year! ;)

Well, we did improve a lot this year as well. Remember, when Alvin Gentry got there, we had 15 wins. The next year it was 30. This year, depending on tonights game, looks to be 40 wins. Next year will probably be 45, which is the playoffs. That's a very good rate of progress, for the youngest team in the league.

Personally, I think it was the injuries that prevented 45 wins this year. Losing Lamar Odom was bad. However, losing Corey Maggette was even worse, since he was the bench player for Odom. You've got to have at least one of your two good forwards available if you are going to win the close games.

I think we will see almost the same team next year. I'm afraid we are going to lose Jeff McInnis, leaving us with no good point guard. I like Keyon Dooling, but he is too inexperienced to be our starting point. I like Earl Boykins too, but he is more of a specialist than a starting player as well. Unless we can trade for an experienced point (and I can see trading Eric Piatkowski for one, and swapping Quentin Richardson into his place as the starter), we are probably looking at Keyon starting though, and that will be tough. We are going to lose a few close games for the first half of the season if we start Keyon at point.

I'm happy to hear there is another Clippers fan on this board!
