Not everyone can be an adventurer I suppose, but being a Red Wizard can't be all boring. You need 13.33 encounters with a CR equal to your level to level up. Just 4~5 encounters / <em>year</em> will level you up every 3 years. Over a lifetime, that puts you at level 20 by the age of 80. A slightly more adventurous life (going <em>on adventure</em> just once a year) will speed that up considerably. </p><p> </p><p> So where is that Intelligence 12 caster by level 20, age 70? She's got in Intelligence of 20! That's where. Just leveling and aging grant you a total of +8 to Intelligence, and what 20th level caster worth her salt wouldn't have a lil' something to boost that Intelligence by at least +4? </p><p></p><p> Where does this leave us? With a nation that has 300,000+ Epic Level Wizards, that's where. That's right. 1 in every 9 people you meet (300,000/ 2.65M) is an Epic Level Wizard.
