Whew. Let us see if Batman vs Superman is popular before we talk about more flicks. Aside from The Dark Knight, DC/WB hasn't convinced me it gets superheroes movies.

Sony was hoping they could score a Spider-Man Cinematic Universe with the reboot, but so far their SM films haven't brought the money and there are rumors of Spidey appearing in the MCU. Rumors, but still, if true, this could mean Sony wants to biggyback on the popularity of the MCU and has doubts about a Spider-Man Cinematic Universe. As they should.

I hope the rumors are true. This could open the door to more supercameos. We could see some X-Men appearing in the MCU, even if the XCU doesn't look like it needs the MCU a much as the SMCU.

No Sandman movie? Boo!
I do not get it. Aside from being late 80s/early 90s goth bait, what is the point of the graphic novel? It sucks at best.

Sure it is different, but vomit on a windshield also different from Flashdance, I'll give you that. Doesn't mean Flashdance is good.

Which graphic novel are we talking about? It starts off a little slow, but once you get into it, wow! You have to read Brief Lives, that one was my favorite, the art, the storytelling, everything, top notch! Of course I guess it helps if you read all the other ones too so you know whats going on, and you also have to read Orpheus, so you understand whats up when Morpheus does that thing he's not supposed to do.

  • “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” directed by Zack Snyder (2016) - They are putting a lot on this movie, hope it is good but think it is just going to be alright. It will be in the top 5 movies of the year, just not 1, 2 or 3.
  • “Suicide Squad,” directed by David Ayer (2016) - Who?
  • “Wonder Woman,” starring Gal Gadot (2017) - Fan boy movie, just wonder if WW has the draw power to be a major hit.
  • “Justice League Part One,” directed by Zack Snyder, with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams reprising their roles (2017) - again, just alright. Makes a lot of money but it all depends on how Bat vs Sup is.
  • “The Flash,” starring Ezra Miller (2018) - What a TV movie!
  • “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa (2018) - Conan in the water.
  • “Shazam” (2019) - Is there a fan base?
  • “Justice League Part Two,” directed by Zack Snyder (2019) - see part 1
  • “Cyborg,” starring Ray Fisher (2020) - Is there a fan base?
  • “Green Lantern” (2020) - Talk about a long time to get a bad taste out of your mouth.

I've read them up to number 4 or 5. It is pretty meh.

[*]“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” directed by Zack Snyder (2016) - They are putting a lot on this movie, hope it is good but think it is just going to be alright. It will be in the top 5 movies of the year, just not 1, 2 or 3.
Yeah, especially since it has to compete with Captain America 3 (Lead in for the Civil War series). Sure, you could go see both, but there is probably a decent number of people that will just go see the one their friends told them was good. I'll probably see both, but I'm not putting too much ope in Batman VS Superman.
[*]“Suicide Squad,” directed by David Ayer (2016) - Who?
That's exactly what I thought when I read that.
[*]“Wonder Woman,” starring Gal Gadot (2017) - Fan boy movie, just wonder if WW has the draw power to be a major hit.
[*]“Justice League Part One,” directed by Zack Snyder, with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams reprising their roles (2017) - again, just alright. Makes a lot of money but it all depends on how Bat vs Sup is.
[*]“Justice League Part Two,” directed by Zack Snyder (2019) - see part 1
I think these movies are really contingent of how well Batman VS Superman does in theaters. I don't se them being made if Batman VS Superman doesn't make enough. They might still be made, but probably delayed.

The question I have is, why are they making a Wonder Woman movie? Was there really that much interest in her from fans? Maybe if she comes off as awesomely badass and interesting in Batman VS Superman, but my guess is that she will be a minor character in that movie.

[*]“The Flash,” starring Ezra Miller (2018) - What a TV movie!
I'm betting it's going to have to compete with the show. The show is actually interesting. I like it. By the time this movie comes out, people are going to have certain expectations because of the show. I wonder how different, or similar, the movie Flash will be to the TV Flash.
[*]“Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa (2018) - Conan in the water.
You make it sound more interesting than an Aquaman movie description would normally be.
[*]“Shazam” (2019) - Is there a fan base?
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is going to be playing Shazam, so his fan base will probably go see it.
[*]“Cyborg,” starring Ray Fisher (2020) - Is there a fan base?
Sure, just not enough people in that fan base to make it a profitable movie. Everyone else that sees it will probably see it because they liked Robocop, and think this is a part 2 or something.

[*]“Green Lantern” (2020) - Talk about a long time to get a bad taste out of your mouth.
Not long enough. Not nearly long enough.

You don't have to already be a fan of something to see a movie if it. I'd never heard of Guardians of the Galaxy, or never read the novel Gone Girl and certainly wasn't an Iron Man fan. That's what marketing is for!
