The gameplay was fun as heck, the NPC's were lively and interactive, and leveling up was almost as much fun as playing the game itself! I also want to be able to play the game on MY terms (20 minutes here, a few hours there...) and not have to depend on a huge commitment just to stay current on the game (ie Evercrack/WoW).NWN 1+2 were clunky and EXTREME resource hogs on my PC. Plus (again) no cool party NPC's.Elder Scrolls was OK---but compared to BG it was also pretty clunky and I couldn't get a gang of NPC's to join my PC. I (for one) don't need a 1st person shooter interface---gimme an eye-in-the-sky situation where I can manipulate the party, plan my defense/attack (and save/reload for when I get fried...)Heck---I got back into D+D thinking that E-Tools was going to be as much fun as BG's character interface... LORD what a disappointment that was... Awhile ago there were rumblings about a BG3. Now I am not particularly looking forward to 4e (both for gameplay and the changes wrought on the Forgotten Realms), but I could definitely be swayed if there was a slick BG3 based in the new 4e campaign. And----(but this might be too cool for school), there were some way to import/export PC's between the game and the new Digital Initiative character builder. How sweet would that be?</blockquote>
