Awesome! I loved these lines:
Son: "You told me Mom left us just because I was born."
Father: "Exactly! And that was when I knew you were my little good luck charm!"

Heh, that was great.
There's also a nasty lil' SF story based along the same lines. This kid is all nervous about The Test that everyone takes when they're 12 or so, which determines what career you get to go into. His parents are all worried about his score, and the implication throughout is that if you don't score high enough.... zzzzzt. So he goes off to take The Test. That evening the parent get a telegram informing them that their son scored ten points too high on The Test, and how would they like to dispose of the body?
