D'karr
Adventurer
Hail and well met my fellow ENWorlders. Welcome to Weekend in the Realms
Over the past years we've had such a great response to our D&D Worldwide Gamedays, here in Northern Virginia, that we are ready to do it again, and do it even bigger. We are currently in the process of organizing our games for Weekend in the Realms, a Living Forgotten Realms (LFR) Gameday event.
Scheduled for November 7th, we will be setting this up at three distinct locations across the Northern Virginia, Maryland and DC area. The locations are the following:
Game Parlor - Woodbridge
Prince William Square Shopping Center
14400 Smoketown Road
Woodbridge, VA 22192
Phone: (703) 551-4200
Game Parlor - Chantilly
Sully Place Shopping Center
13936 Metrotech Drive
Chantilly, VA 20151
Phone: (703) 803-3114
Dream Wizards - Rockville
11772 Parklawn Drive
Rockville, MD 20852
Phone: 301-881-3530
So what does the event entail?
The event is part of the Living Forgotten Realms Campaign. As part of this Living Campaign you can bring your own LFR character or create a new one specifically for this adventure. We will also have pregenerated characters for this event. Since this is a Living Campaign, you can use that character, as he advances, in any of the other Living Forgotten Realms adventures. If you are unfamiliar with the Living Forgotten Realms, please take a look at the site for additional information and for character creation guidelines.
The Adventure
The adventure itself is "The Icy Queen’s Crossing", for character levels 1-4 and written by Shawn Merwin. Set in the cold northern realm of Narfell, the 4-hour adventure takes place in the aftermath of the events depicted in the new Forgotten Realms novel The Fall of Highwatch, which releases on November 4. This is the very first time Wizards of the Coast has done and adventure for Living Forgotten Realms with a novel tie-in! Here’s the adventure’s description:
The Icy Queen’s Crossing
In a region so dangerous that even the most savage of Nar tribes fear trespassing there, a group of heroes has a chance to change the face of a war-torn land. This adventure has locations and characters from the Forgotten Realms novel The Fall of Highwatch. A Weekend in the Realms exclusive adventure set in Narfell for Living Forgotten Realms characters levels 1-4.
Signups will go live on November 1st at 10:00PM. The signup site for this event is linked below:
Weekend in the Realms : Event Overview
Seating is limited and will require pre-registration. Please make sure that once you register on the site that you update your gaming schedule by selecting the location and time you wish to play.
That is all for right now, hope to see many of you at this event.
Thanks,
Vic Morales (Event Coordinator)
