Message: <blockquote data-quote="Hussar" data-source="post: 6648799" data-attributes="member: 22779">I think it's largely inevitable to be honest.  If WOTC had offered something,  but, it was a page shorter than Paizo's offering, or even the same size, they'd get criticised for not being generous enough.  Or that it was the sign that WOTC was failing because their production quality, or the quality of whatever they were offering, wasn't, in the opinion of the person shouting from their soapbox, as good as what was offered by some indie company working out of some guy's basement.  If they offered a free adventure, people would bitch that it wasn't good enough, or too (insert whatever is bad) and how dare WOTC insult the hobby by offering such shoddy work.  If they offered some sort of supplement, it would be a sign that WOTC hates fans because the supplement wouldn't be widely available.  Take your pick about how it would be spun, but, no matter what the spin, WOTC would be the bad guy.  If they did some fantastic product, then why couldn't they do it all the time?  Bad WOTC.No matter what they did, they were going to eat poop.  So, why bother doing the work?  Fandom is getting exactly what it deserves.  I mean, geez, they offer a free app with free fiction, interviews and gaming information and people complain about how crappy it is.  You really think people wouldn't find a way to bitch about a free whatsit from WOTC?</blockquote>
