The pack stood just inside the entrance of the New Jersey nightclub, shaking off the bite of cold autumn rain and checking out the entry room of Club Krone. "Man, that was too east, Ryan," quiped the smallest, a man, boy really, of no more than 18 years, with short, black cherry hair, dark blue eyes, and clothes that hearkened back to the days when Soundgarden topped the charts. "Quiet Colin. Jus' thank Gaia fer small favors, sure'n it'll be th'last o'those fer the night." At 6'4", Ryan was broad-shouldered and wel-muscled, a full nine inches taller than Colin; and though his eyes were green as grass and his hair more fire than cherry, the resemblance between the two was unmistakable. Ryan was dressed like a Prohibition-era gangster, and with his brown suit, hat, and longcoat, he looked like an extra from the Untouchables. After a long pause, a third man spoke. "I have to agree with Colin. Even for a Halloween costume party, I think we stick out; however, nothing can be done now." Dressed in basic black with a leather motorcycle jacket, the average looking Japanese man known only as Shadow of the Stormcrow nodded towards the main room. "We should get inside and survey the area." Nodding agreement in unison, Colin and Ryan walked trough the big double doors, followed closely by Shadow, the brave, and the gunslinger. The main room of Krome was garishly decorated for Samhain, Colin thought; strobes of red, orange, and blue played off the bodies of dancers of all shapes and shades, while black lights and fog machines lent the floor an eerie, otherworldly glow. The gunslinger, RadGunPup, nudged Ryan's shoulder. "Remind me why we're here again?" Ryan sighed. "To guard her," he replied, holding up a Polaroid picture of a gorgeous blond girl with ice blue eyes set in a flawless face above a voluptuous figure. "Rampage's daughter Greta. The Black spirals want her for something and that can't be anything good." Colin mutterd, "Gee, a hot Aryan chick; that shouldn't be too hard in this crowd." Ryan shot him a hard look. "Remember laddie; luck o' the Irish. Ev'rybody spread out, and howl when trouble rears." The five spread out through the club, taking up positions wherever they cold to get a good view of the entire room. The painted and well-toned brave, Standing Stone, found himself on the dance floor, where he was quickly swamped by women dancing to be near him. Shadow of the Stormcrow took up a position near the fire doors, leaning nonchalantly against the wall. Ryan sat down at the bar, while RGP "investigated" the area near the DJ's booth. Colin had the best luck of the five, at least in his search. While the DJ was spinning a bastardized remix of "No Rain", he spotted her. "By Stag; more beautiful in person," was all Colin could think as he wove his way through the crowd of dancers towards her. Her outfit, a red leather corset, matching microshirt, fishnet stockings, and black Doc Martens, didn't help his already short attention span any. He was so caught up in her beauty he almost didn't notice the four people she was with. Almost. They might not be of the Wyrm. They might not be Black Spirals. And maybe Ryan was Egyptian.
