What adventures are NOT set in a published D&D setting?

For years I've toyed with the idea of creating a campaign setting out of all the TSR/WotC published adventures that are NOT set in the Realms, Greyhawk, Mystara, Ravenloft, Birthright, Planescape, etc, etc.

For the sake of my sanity, I'm not looking at Dungeon or Dragon magazine (adventures in Dragon are a slim possibility...maybe). Also, adventures should be published (not solely online) and have some information about the outside world/setting.Edition is unimportant.

My very rough initial list:
Red Hand of Doom
The Silver Key
A Hero's Tale
The Lost Shrine of Bundushatur
The Shattered Circle
Dragon Mountain
Treasure Tales
Country Sites
Dragon's Den Adventure Pack

GA1 - The Murky Deep
GA2 - Swamplight
GA3 - Tales of Enchantment
UK4 - When A Star Falls
UK5 - Eye of the Serpent
UK6 - All that Glitters
UK7 - Dark Clouds Gather
RPGA1 - Rahasia
N2 - The Forest Oracle
N3 - Destiny of Kings
I2 - Tomb of the Lizard King
(I3-5 - Desert of Desolation series - I believe these were retconned into FR, but am not sure).?
I8 - Ravager of Time
I9 - Day of Al'Akbar
C3 - Lost Island of Castanamir
C4 - To Find a King
C5 - Llywelyn

B3 - Palace of the Silver Princess (Orange version)? References Glantri, but was not adopted in that locale, insofar as I know.
Night Below Boxed Set
The Rod of Seven Parts
Axe of the Dwarven Lords
Monstrous Arcana adventures (I don't have these to reference)
3e "Adventure Path" (Don't have these either)

From the top of my head:

The Monstrous Arcana adventures: three each dealing with Beholders, Mind Flayers and Sahuagin

The Big Boxed ones: Night Below,, The Rod of Seven Parts

Axe of the Dwarven Lords

The whole 3e adventure path: Sunless Citadell, etc.

All the UKs: Crystal Cave, Sentinel, Gauntlet, When a Star Falls, Eye of the Serpent, All that Glitters

Guess I better stop now; this post could become very long.

B2, b3, b5..and not sure if B4 mentions ylaruam or not.

Some prints of B1 had a suggestion for GH placement but it was not a GH adventure.

MSolo 1/2 not sure if they had any KW reference....same with Ghost of Lion Castle.

UK2 & UK3, Sentinel & Gauntlet, are both explicitly placed in Greyhawk. I'm not sure about UK1, but I know I looked at it last night and didn't include it.
B3 is set in Glantri, B6 is set in Specularum/Mystara, but it looks like B8 is not.

B3 is not in Glantri..not officially anyway. Haven was originally its own sandbox in Glantri, and then stripped of that material for the green cover version , .with no mention of where Haven was. Later it was rolled into Karameikos.

AFAIC, the orange cover version is not worth considering official, but YMMV.

I don't see a reference to Haven.
The orange cover version is the only one I have access to, and Glantri is clearly marked on the map and in the text. IE, "The information given below describes the surrounding lands near the Palace of the Silver Princess in the land of the Princes of Glantri."

I don't have an issue with leaving it ambiguous for now; there's lot of other material to play with.

Well, the thing for me is that the Orange cover was seen by nearly no-one outside of TSR. It was pulled immediately and destroyed, and then Tom substantially re-wrote it, and that is the version that became well known.

Only a handful of copies were ever seen for sale or in collections before WOTC released a scan of the Orange cover to the public back in...99? Y2K?

The Green cover version mentions Haven throughout. I am actually running it right now for my 13yo and friends. BITD, I thought it was just OK, however I am finding 30+ years later it is playing far better than it reads. We are using S&W whitebox with 4, 3rd level PCs, and it is proving tough. They just lost their Thief to the Giant rats in the butcher room sewer/underground river.

Night Below is not set in any official setting. It includes skimpy notes on using it in different settings (mostly when referencing patron deities of bad guys and high level characters the PCs might contact for help).

Well, the orange cover scan is what I have, together with B1-9. The green cover version isn't really an option, since I don't have it. If you ignore the Glantri references, the orange version (OV) setting is actually quite useful - there's a detailed, full-page map, and a full page describing the locations - The Misty Swamp, Abaddon Woods, Moorfowl Mountains, Thunder Mountains, the Barony of Gullavia, and the settlements of Dead Mule, N'Sau, Thorold, Mere, and Velders.

It sounds like the OV is not set in or around "Haven", but it is next to Glantri. Haven was introduced in the GV, but Glantri removed. Haven was placed in Karamekios for B1-9.

Lacking the GV right now, the only Haven information I have is set in Karamekios.

All things considered, when faced with multiple versions of a module, I'd probably go with whichever has the most interesting setting info.
