1) Caldour Dalaith, a bard I played in a roleplaying-oriented MUD, a long time ago. He was an utter snob, spoke some five or six different languages, sucked at fighting, and spent more time worrying about his wardrobe than about the conflict between good and evil. He was a blast to play, especially as I got to write bad poetry for him to recite. 2) Varl Kadek, a half-elf fighter/duellist in Nightfall's first online Scarred Lands campaign, the Irregulars of Hollowfaust. Varl was much like Caldour, in a swashbuckling dandy kind of way, but had no musical talent, could actually fight rather well, and was good. He was originally Albadian, but as a result of finding some interesting documents, is now a member of the landed gentry in New Venir, spending his winters in Shelzar. And he absolutely detests Calastians. 3) Zogen Feuermacher, gnome rogue/wizard, in Enrious' Warhammer/Forgotten Realms crossover campaign. He was a pyromaniac, a gun fetishist, and a fierce gnomish nationalist, who'd watched way too many Clint Eastwood movies. Imagine, if you will, a three-foot guy wearing a trenchcoat and wielding a pistol as long as his arm, going "The North ain't big enough for the two of us." Then the tavern behind you explodes. Honourable mentions go to Dyvnal Khaldam, my Tyrran fighter in the same MUD as Caldour and Xaylen Ambedor (Wiz2), my Living Greyhawk character whose life has been saved by both Boccob and Wee Jas.
