[QUOTE="AllisterH, post: 3507364, member: 51325"] I got to agree with people about the bad math and Power Attack. I've seen and done the math myself and it isn't as uber as many people think. 1. Improved Init. In D&D, she who goes first, wins. Especially for fragile classes like the sorceror, going first is essential. The only class I know of that can afford not to go first would be the crusader since a) their defenses are tough enough they can survive a first hit and b) their offense is rewarded for taking hits. 2. Weapon Finesse. Unlike PA, the math on this one is definitely in WF's favour. Rogue without WF is doing SIGNIFICANTLY less damage than rogue with it. Any character with higher Dex (the best ability in the game) than Str (only useful for certain types of melee combatants) takes this. 3. Natural Spell. Pre-PHB II druid variant. The no-duh feat for druids. While there were role-playing restrictions in the druid being shapechanged, the benefits were really, really, good. Sure, you're druid can't talk about the weather, but he could still scratch on the ground what he saw even in wildshaped form. 4. Scribe Scroll This pretty much nullifies the "limited slots per day" ability of the caster especially at low levels. Sure, you're not going to be creating 100s of scrolls at 1st level, but even 2 scrolls at 1st level increases your power which is well within the possibility. 5. Craft Wondrous See Scribe scroll.
