Locally, I primarily play Pathfinder, both an ongoing Kingmaker campaign and Pathfinder Society. I am also involved in a sporadic Edge of Empire game. I am also in a group that is winding down a campaign of The One Ring. At Winter Fantasy, I will play a mix of 4E/LFR and Pathfinder Society, probably seven games of LFR and five of PFS. I will not be playing 5E/Next there. I am somewhat intrigued by the fact that the Winter Fantasy Next offerings involve re-making Living Greyhawk characters. On the one hand, that's a great way to drum up interest amongst older players from what was obviously a successful living campaign; on the other hand, I missed Living Greyhawk because of surgery residency, so the idea kind of falls flat for me. I also won't be playing Witch Hunter at Winter Fantasy. I was a backer for the recent Witch Hunter kickstarter, even got a nifty certificate to play a werewolf in the campaign, but the rulebook is yet to arrive, and I don't really want to dive into the campaign with a pre-gen. I digress. At Origins, I probably will dive into Witch Hunter and may, again, test the Arcanis offerings. The only way that I will play 5E/Next is if a new living campaign kicks off here, but I think that is really more likely to happen at GenCon (if at all). I doubt there will be any LFR offerings, so I'll probably steer clear of 4E (unless my buddies from Toledo are there-- they love their 4E). I may play some PFS, but would rather spend the rest of my time dabbling in other game systems. At PaizoCon, I will play all PFS. At GenCon, I will spend just over half my time playing PFS. If there is a Next/5E living campaign starting up, I will also play the offerings for it. Otherwise, I will dabble in other systems. At Con on the Cob, I'll probably play a mix of PFS, Shadowrun Missions, and any sort of Next/5E living campaign (if such a thing exists at that point). When con season is over, I'll be back to playing primarily Pathfinder. If the Edge of Empire group survives, I think we are planning on dabbling in some other game systems. I would like to try Numenera, Only War, 13th Age, and Dungeon World. I will buy Next/5E. I will play it on a somewhat regular basis only if it has a strong living campaign that catches on near my hometown.
