What are your plans for the paragon tier?

My heroic tier campaign is up and running well. I planned it to finish with the PCs hitting 11th level, and it looks like we might get there by the end of the year.

I offered my players to change characters after that point is reached, some of them will take that opportunity, others will not.

After wotc's release schedule crushed my original plan (Revenge of the Giants, with lots of tie ins to my 3rd Against the Giants campaign) I was thinking about converting Return to the Tomb of Horrors to 4e... but I would love to incorporate some pirates and king kong... not exactly a natural fit :) ... on the other hand, wotc will release the undead book (with Acereraks stats) next Jan our Feb... that might get me exited to actually play RttToH.

Thus I began to collect information about the Slavelords Adventures... I only own the Slavers 2nd Module, and to me it seems to be a better fit for a heroic tier campaign.

So... what are your plans for paragon tier campaigning?

I want the transition to Paragon to represent a major shift in both the characters' abilities (the game will handle that for me) but also the world. So there will be major political upheaval in the transition to Paragon, and almost certainly a catastrophe of some kind in the shift to Epic (I don't know what kind of catastrophe exactly, only the implications it has to cause). From browsing ENW and other sites I've been toying with the idea of the PC's having to be sponsored by a force aligned with their own goals in order to shift between Tiers... it all depends how Heroic pans out and the general feel of the campaign as they approach 11th level.

I plan running print modules, and we'll see what WotC will have to offer us there. ;)

I am not sure yet where a homebrew campaign would go there.

My idea revolved on the concept of the PCs trying to make allies on the heroic tier to be able to stand up against the darkness surrounding the point of light. Maybe I should give this darkness a front/face that the PCs will try to face on the Paragon tier? After having made alliance between cities and villages, they could work with nations to win the war against evil. But that's all pretty generic yet...
