I created my own little worlds with orcs and princesses and skeleton warriors and places called Wolf Fang Mountain. There were rules that had to be followed, but not enough that it limited your imagination. I got much better at math, although I never really mastered THAC0. My friends and I could spend whole rainy days going through caves I drew on notebook paper the night before. It was almost as good as rock n' roll.Dungeons and Dragons had everything a bored, frustrated ten-year old could ask for.</blockquote>
